Black Pepper & Turmeric Latte

Get more turmeric in your day with this deep golden turmeric latte. The warming ginger, cayenne and black pepper pair wonderfully with the lightly sweet, decadent cinnamon and vanilla.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Root
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon Ginger Root
  • 1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Chili Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Star Anise

Method
 

  1. Heat milk in microwave for 2 to 3 minutes on high or on stovetop until it reaches a boil.
  2. Pour heated milk into a blender and add honey, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, cayenne and vanilla extract. Blend on high for 10 seconds, then on low for 5 seconds.
  3. Pour into a mug and garnish with 1 star anise and a sprinkle of black pepper. Enjoy immediately.
