Oven-Baked Potato Chips

The best part about these potato chips is that they actually taste like potatoes, not merely oil and salt. Move beyond the white starchy variety to include sweet potatoes, yams, and colorful heirloom varieties.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Garlic & Herb Seasoning
  • 2 pounds potatoes of choice sweet potatoes, yams, Yukon gold potatoes, purple potatoes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grapeseed or olive oil
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Scrub the potatoes and pat them dry. Chop off the ends and discard. You can choose to peal the potatoes or leave the peel on.
  • Place your mandolin slicer on the 1/8-inch setting and slice the potatoes.
  • Place potato slices in a mixing bowl and add the oil and Organic Garlic N Herb Seasoning. Use your hands to toss the chips and evenly coat them with oil and seasoning.
  • Evenly space potato slices on a large baking sheet (you may need to make two batches).
  • Bake chips for 10 minutes, remove them from the oven and carefully flip them to the other side using a spatula. Bake chips for an additional 8 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges and crispy.
  • Sprinkle chips with desired amount of sea salt, and allow them to sit on the hot baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve chips fresh out of the oven with your favorite dip!
  • Note if you slice the potatoes to 1/16-inch, bake chips at 375 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes on each side.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • Melted Butter (To your Tastes)
  • 1/3 cup Herbes de Provence grind to a fine powder in coffee grounder or food processor
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt

Instructions

  • Mix the above ingredients for the seasoning, except for the salt.
  • Pop your Popcorn with your desired method. Top with Melted Butter.
  • While popcorn is still warm, top with the spice mixture and salt to taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Root Ground 1.64 oz.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1/4 cup refined coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • 9 cups mixed rice corn and wheat cereal squares
  • 1 cup mixed nuts
  • 1 cup bite-size pretzels
  • 1 cup ginger snap cookie pieces
  • 1 cup Crystallized Ginger chopped in 1/4-inch pieces

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • In a small bowl, combine ginger, cinnamon, cloves and sea salt.
  • In a large, ungreased roasting pan, add coconut oil, honey and molasses. Place in the oven until coconut oil melts. in the oven. Remove from oven and stir.
  • Stir in cereal, mixed nuts, pretzels and ginger snap cookies until coated. Add spice mixture and stir to evenly coat.
  • Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Spread in single layer on baking sheets until cooled. Mix in chopped crystallized ginger. Store in an airtight container.
  • Makes 30 3/8 cup servings.
