HERBED ROAST BEEF AND VEGETABLES

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. beef round tip or eye of round roast
  • 1 TBS Salt-free Citrus Seasoning
  • 1 TBS Spectacular Spaghetti seasoning
  • 1 lb. new red potatoes quartered
  • 1 large Sweet Potato cut up
  • 1/2 lb. carrots cut in strips
  • 2 TBS. olive oil or butter
  • 4 small onions halved

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a measuring cup combine seasonings and olive oil or melted butter; mix to blend. Place beef roast in a shallow roasting pan and arrange carrots, potatoes, sweet potato, and onions around roast. Pour Oil and Seasoning mixture over vegetables and meat. Try to distribute over roast and vegetables evenly.
  • Cook Roast beef and vegetables covered with aluminum foil in a 425-degree oven for approximately 1 hour. After one hour remove foil cover and continue to roast until temperature reaches 135 degrees for rare or 155 degrees for medium rare to medium. Remove roast from oven and let stand for 10 minutes.

New Orleans Chicken Wings

This recipe for dry rubbed chicken wings uses our New Orleans spicy blend of seasonings instead of a drenching hot sauce. This 3-ingredient recipe is extremely easy to make and a great party pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Chicken Wings approx. 20 wing pieces
  • 1-2 TBS Olive Oil
  • 2 TBS New Orleans Rub

Instructions

  • Dry wing pieces with paper towels to remove excess liquid.
  • Place wings in a large bowl and rub olive oil into each piece.
  • Sprinkle half of the New Orleans Rub onto the chicken wings and rub in. Flip the wings and sprinkle remaining Rub onto wings until all pieces are fully coated.
  • Place a baking rack over a shallow baking pan. Place seasoned wings on rack.
  • Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, flip each wing, then bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Turn on oven broiler to a low heat and broil for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 TBS New Orleans Rub
  • 1/2 cup Cooking Wine
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 6-12 pieces Chicken Drumsticks
  • 1 tsp Hickory Smoked Sea Salt

Instructions

  • Score Chicken Drumsticks with Rada Stubby Butcher Knife making 3 or 4 slits in each drumstick. Place them into a Large Bowl
  • Add New Orleans Rub to bowl
  • Add Cooking Wine
  • Add Hickory Smoked Sea Salt
  • Add Water and Mix Well, scooping marinade over chicken pieces.
  • Cover with Plastic wrap or foil and place in refrigerator. Let set for 1 1/2 – 24 hours.
  • After marinating is completed, remove from refrigerator, place in a shallow baking dish and cook in 425 degree oven for 30-40 minutes or until done. Temperature must reach 165 degrees as measured with a meat thermometer in center of meat.
  • OR you can place on your favorite outdoor cooking grill and heat to temperature.
  • Remove from Oven or Grill and Enjoy!

  • 1 lb. shrimp
  • ¼ cup white wine optional

Instructions

  • Carefully add white wine and stock. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low and simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 12 ounces cremini mushrooms chopped
  • 1/3 cup raw walnuts
  • 1 can black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free panko or rice bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet & Smoky Umami Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt or to taste
  • 5 gluten-free or regular burger buns

Instructions

  • In a medium skillet, preheat oil. Add onion and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes, until softened. Add mushrooms and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes, until all their liquid has been released. Transfer to a bowl and let cool.
  • Into same pan, add walnuts and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently until walnuts start to brown. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Meanwhile, in a sheet pan lined with a few paper towels, place black beans in a single layer. Place another paper towel on top and press lightly to remove most of the liquid.
  • In a food processor, place mushroom mixture, toasted walnuts, black beans, brown rice, panko, Umami Blend, garlic powder, black pepper and salt. Pulse a few times until well combined but leaving some chunkiness. Taste and season with more salt if desired.
  • Divide mixture into 5 patties.
  • For grilling, heat grill to medium high and place patties on lightly greased aluminum foil. Grill for 6 to 8 minutes per side. For baking, place patties on a baking pan lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes per side, or until desired texture is reached. For stove-top cooking, lightly coat a skillet with avocado oil and cook, turning halfway through, to desired doneness.
  • Lightly brush insides of buns with oil, place face-down on grill or skillet and toast lightly. Place veggie burgers on buns and finish with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 cup pearl couscous tricolor, if possible
  • 1 teaspoon salt divided
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chives chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 6 medium scallops removed from tough side muscle
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
  • additional chives for garnish

Instructions

  • In a medium-size pot, bring water to a boil. Add couscous and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cover pot and allow to simmer, stirring continuously, for 8 to 10 minutes, until water is fully evaporated.
  • Add parsley, chives, olive oil, lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined, then remove from heat and set aside.
  • Rinse scallops with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt. Roll scallops in seasoning until well coated.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat grapeseed oil. Once the oil is very hot, add the scallops (*they should sizzle immediately). Reduce heat to medium-high and sear for about 2 1/2 minutes, until a golden crust forms. Flip with a spatula or tongs and cook on the other side for about 2 more minutes.
  • Serve scallops over couscous and garnish with chives.
  • If desired, substitute any other cooking oil with a high smoke point for the grapeseed oil.

  • 2 teaspoons unsulphured molasses
  • 2 packages organic cocktail sausages 12-ounce packages
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced small
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl combine the tomato sauce, brown sugar, honey, lemon juice, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, oregano, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Stir until thoroughly combined.
    1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic Chili Powder, 1 teaspoon Simply Organic Oregano leaf, 1 can organic tomato sauce, 4 teaspoons dark brown sugar, 4 teaspoons honey, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 3 teaspoons prepared yellow mustard, 2 teaspoons unsulphured molasses, 1/4 teaspoon Simply Organic Cayenne Pepper 2.89 oz.
  • In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat add the tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add in the diced onion and sauté until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
    2 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 medium yellow onion
  • Add in the cocktail sausages and cook for 5 minutes.
    2 packages organic cocktail sausages
  • Pour the sauce over top, stir and place into a preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve warm.
  • Crock pot method In a small skillet, saute onion and garlic in olive oil as described above. Instead of transferring to the oven, combine onion/garlic mixture, cocktail sausages and sauce in a crock pot on high heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Five Spice Seasoning
  • 4 large bone-in beef short ribs about 4 to 5 pounds
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 carrots peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 2 to 3 cups low sodium beef stock
  • 3 to 4 small yellow potatoes peeled and halved (optional)
  • Cilantro mint and Thai basil, freshly chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Season all sides of the ribs generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a dutch oven over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Add ribs until brown on all sides, then move to a plate.
  • Turn the heat down to medium and add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring for 1 minute, then add the ribs back to the pot. Add the carrots, rice vinegar, sugar, fish sauce and five spice seasoning.
  • Add beef stock, just enough to barely cover the vegetables. Bring to a simmer, cover and place in the over.
  • Cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours, until the beef is fork-tender. 1 to 1/2 hours into cooking, add potatoes, if desired.
  • Remove the ribs and carrots and place on a serving platter. Cover with foil to retain warmth.
  • Strain liquid and skim off fat. Into a saucepan over medium-high heat, pour liquid to reduce slightly. Pour over the ribs and garnish with cilantro, mint and Thai basil. Serve warm.
