HERBED ROAST BEEF AND VEGETABLES

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. beef round tip or eye of round roast
  • 1 TBS Salt-free Citrus Seasoning
  • 1 TBS Spectacular Spaghetti seasoning
  • 1 lb. new red potatoes quartered
  • 1 large Sweet Potato cut up
  • 1/2 lb. carrots cut in strips
  • 2 TBS. olive oil or butter
  • 4 small onions halved

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a measuring cup combine seasonings and olive oil or melted butter; mix to blend. Place beef roast in a shallow roasting pan and arrange carrots, potatoes, sweet potato, and onions around roast. Pour Oil and Seasoning mixture over vegetables and meat. Try to distribute over roast and vegetables evenly.
  • Cook Roast beef and vegetables covered with aluminum foil in a 425-degree oven for approximately 1 hour. After one hour remove foil cover and continue to roast until temperature reaches 135 degrees for rare or 155 degrees for medium rare to medium. Remove roast from oven and let stand for 10 minutes.

I have seen many casseroles called "Johnny Marzetti". Some have been made with Macaroni Noodles, some with Ziti, Some with Rotini, but when I grew up the REAL Johnny Marzetti was made with Egg Noodles as this recipe is and Delicious too, using our very own Spaghetti Seasoning Blend of Spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz. Bag of Medium Egg Noodles Cook as directed on package. Drain Well.

Sauce

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef Cooked
  • 1 Can 28 oz. Tomato Sauce ( or combination of (2-15 oz. Cans of Sauce, Puree, Crushed, or Petite Diced Tomatoes)
  • 1 TBS Maple Sugar (or Sweetener of your choice) ie. Sugar, Honey
  • 1 Pkg. Spaghetti Seasoning Blend (or 2 1/2 TBS.)

Topping

  • 6 Slices American Cheese (optional Sprinkle with additional shredded cheese of your choice.)

Instructions

  • Cook Sauce first by Browning Ground Beef. Drain off excess Grease. Add Tomato Sauce, Sugar, and Spaghetti Seasoning and simmer over Medium Low Heat until Hot. (The longer this is cooked the better it will taste!) I simmer for an hour.
    1 Pkg. Spaghetti Seasoning Blend
  • Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
  • Boil Medium Egg Noodles according to package directions, drain, then pour into 9×13 pan.
  • Pour prepared Sauce over noodles, stir in.
  • Add American Cheese Slices on top.
  • Bake in Oven for Approximately 20 minutes. I cover with Aluminum foil for first 15 minutes then remove foil cover and cook additional 5 minutes or until cheese on top is slightly browned.

Herbes De Provence Beef Stew

For a delicious addition to your Beef Stew try adding Herbes De Provence seasoning. Herbes De Provence adds a great flavor the whole family will love!

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 pounds beef stew meat cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt divided
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons herbes de Provence
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups dry red wine
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary divided
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 cups cubed peeled potatoes
  • 3 cups coarsely chopped onions about 2 large
  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic or red wine vinegar
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peas

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, toss beef and 1/4 teaspoon salt. In a large bowl, combine 4 tablespoons flour and paprika. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and toss to coat.
  • In a Dutch oven, brown beef in oil over medium heat. Stir in tomato paste, herbes de Provence and garlic; cook until fragrant and color starts to darken slightly. Add wine; cook until mixture just comes to a boil. Simmer until reduced by half, about 5 minutes. Stir in broth, 1 teaspoon rosemary and bay leaves. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until meat is almost tender, about 1-1/2 hours.
  • Add potatoes, onions and carrots. Cover; simmer until meat and vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes longer.
  • Discard bay leaves.
  • In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 teaspoon rosemary, remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and remaining 2 tablespoon flour. Add cold water and vinegar; stir until smooth. Stir into stew. Bring to a boil; add peas. Cook, stirring, until thickened, about 2 minutes. If desired, top with additional fresh rosemary.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons All Purpose Season
  • Black Pepper
  • 1 15- ounce jar roasted red peppers
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic divided
  • 2 shallots finely diced
  • 1/3 cup vegetable stock
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 2 medium zucchini spiralized and as much moisture removed as possible
  • 5 large mushrooms cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 medium red pepper cut into bite-size pieces

Instructions

  • In a pan over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sauté 1 tablespoon garlic and shallots for 1 to 2 minutes, until translucent.
  • Add vegetable stock and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Transfer contents from pan into a food processor and add roasted red peppers, 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning, remaining 3 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper. Blend for about 1 minute, until smooth, then set aside.
  • In pan over medium-high heat, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil. Sauté remaining 1 tablespoon garlic, mushrooms and red pepper for 3 minutes, stirring continuously. Add spiralized zucchini and remaining 1 tablespoons olive oil and sauté for another 3 o 4 minutes, until zoodles are cooked.
  • Sprinkle remaining all-purpose seasoning, salt and pepper over top and serve with roasted red pepper sauce.
  • To thin sauce, add 1 to 2 tablespoons additional olive oil.

  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 red pepper diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 pounds beef cubes
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper finely chopped
  • 3 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 14 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 2 -14 oz. cans of Kidney Beans if desired (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large pan heat, olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, peppers and garlic. Saute for about 4 minutes. Add beef cubes and cook until browned, about 3 minutes.
  • Transfer mixture to a slow cooker and add tomato paste, broth, diced tomatoes and contents of seasoning mix packet. Mix until combined.
  • Cook in slow cooker on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours.
  • Serve with your favorite chili toppings.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Turmeric root ground organic
  • 1/2 teaspoon

  • 2 bone-in pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 to 3 large yellow and/or red beets cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 to 5 large carrots cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Parsley for serving

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons olive oil, honey, turmeric and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  • Place pork chops in a separate bowl and toss in marinade until well coated. Let sit for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly toss vegetables in remaining tablespoon olive oil, remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper, being careful to not let the red beets bleed too much.
  • Place in oven and roast for 30 to 40 minutes, until tender and browning.
  • Heat an oven-safe grill pan over medium heat. Add pork chops to pan and sear for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until charred.
  • Transfer grill pan to the oven and continue to cook for about 8 to 12 minutes (depending on the thickness of the pork chop). Remove from oven, divide vegetables onto plates and place pork chops on top. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and juices from pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Simply Organic Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Simply Organic Ground Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic Ground Mustard Seed

  • 1/4 cup bourbon optional, alternative below*
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 4 organic boneless chicken breasts skin on or off

Instructions

  • In a 2-cup (or larger) measuring cup, whisk together all the liquids and spices. Try to break up any spice “lumps” with a fork.
  • Score the chicken breasts 3 to 5 times on the skin side of the breast by slicing about 1/2 inch into (but not all the way through) the meat. Do this regardless of whether you choose to leave the skin attached.
  • Place the breasts in a shallow casserole or 1-gallon plastic bag, and add the marinade. Mix until the chicken is thoroughly coated. Refrigerate for 1 hour or up to overnight.
  • Preheat your grill. Real wood charcoal tastes best, but gas works fine. Avoid instant-light briquettes as they make food taste like lighter fluid. Aim for medium-high heat – if your grill lid has a thermometer built into the lid, it should read about 375 degrees.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and scrape off as much excess as possible. Place on the hot grill, skin side down, and grill 3 to 4 minutes. Turn the breasts over and cook a further 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Using a meat thermometer, check the doneness at the thickest part of the breast. Cook further if needed to reach 165 degrees.
  • Remove from the heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes, then serve immediately.
  • *To leave out the bourbon, replace by doubling the water to 1/2 cup and adding one teaspoon Simply Organic Vanilla Flavoring.
  • Before you place the chicken on the grill, be sure to remove excess marinade. This will help prevent flare-ups when grilling.
